  • These are excerpts from some of your responses to last week's Simply Said:

    One Year Later

    Another Missed Opportunity

I could not agree with you more. I continue to wait for the story that should be told. One that was created out of friendship, trust, and chemistry. Both Maurice and Nancy are absolutely remarkable when it comes to their making scenes memorable. I just cannot, and will not accept them not being in some kind of relationship....I'm less than entertained my today's stories on GH. And to put is simply, last year at this time I raced home from work to watch my taped episode of the day. I even had to subscribe to SoapNet one day because the VCR had not worked. Today I sit with 6 weeks worth of GH episodes, not really looking forward to watching...........Thank you for all you do, this site keeps me interested and content, hoping that our story will be told.

I totally agree with everything you said. The horrors that these writers do is inexcusable. They have a character say one thing in the next moment it is completely turned around. They completey ignore facts of previous story lines and turn GH history into something that never happened. The disrespect they have shown the characters and viewers is appalling. They insult therapists and real people with these kinds of mental illnesses, it's appalling. They cant even do a mobster story right. No mobsters family would allow a wife to come into a meeting and swing a baseball bat at them. Well she might get into the meeting on her feet but she wouldnt walk out.

The saddest thing of all is the disrespect they have shown for the friendship and love that Sonny and Alexis have for each other. They had the opportunity to create a couple that I believe could have been greater than Luke and Laura. (Let's not get me started about what they have done to them.)Instead they have almost completely destroyed them.
I believe with real writers Sonny and Alexis can rise above the huge trash pile Guza and Pratt are creating. Hopefully one day Brian Frons will realize this and fire them.

Keep up your support people! I Believe in Sonny and Alexis and their baby Kristina.

It's so hard to believe that it's been a year. By this time next year, I'm hoping for a complete GH turn around, one that includes Sonny and Alexis together.

You made some great points! With Sonny & Alexis, I see the chemistry in every scene. Obviously, the writers do, too, and that's why we rarely get a Sexis scene. Cameron has become the new Ned. While I was hopeful after the first Cameron/Alexis scenes that I could get into the pairing (because Sexis is being ignored), I find Cameron more grating everyday. He now has all the qualities I strongly disliked in Ned.

As to the Sexis scene, I agree--on the face of it, Sonny was justified, if hypocritical, (he did order a hit on Alcazar, for which HE spent no time in jail, but he has problems with Alexis killing in self-defense and not spending time in prison? After all the times she kept him out of jail?) Alexis knows he has every reason to say those things to her, to be angry, to try to hurt her. She didn't try to fight back, just absorbed his barbs. But it's a tragic situation, because Alexis deliberately said the hurtful things to Sonny to push him away and keep baby Kristina safe from the mob, not because she truly looks down on him. (Fan February made that clear.) Alexis' tirade against Sonny at the funeral, while mostly true, was staged. Sonny doesn't know that! He thinks she hates HIM. Now, she thinks he hates HER. Tragic. And most tragic--Alexis almost told Sonny about HIS daughter, and Sonny said, "I don't want to hear it!"

Well written! Brava! Not many individuals can see both sides of an argument, but you have done so and said it brilliantly. Also, you have shown all of us what should have been said between these two months ago. Thank you. I have always known that when you place Sonny and Alexis in a scene together, everyone else melts into oblivion. I am glad that Alexis realized that Sonny had the power to help her get Kristina back, and in the right circumstance, would have done just that. I also am glad that Sonny realized that Alexis was faking her illness. It means that these two are connected still, and no matter what direction they take, the connection remains. Their anger toward each other is proof of their feelings for each other, although ambivalent, and that the friendship can be rebuilt, with a possibility of taking it to the level it should have taken one year ago. But I will be patient, I will wait, but it is worth waiting for.
